About Moya

Hi, I’m Moya and I live in River with my children Hollie and Louis and my husband Max. I have been working at Tots 2 Teens since 2002, although I first became involved with Tots when I was asked to join the committee as secretary whilst on maternity leave in 1998.

As soon as I started helping I enjoyed the warm and friendly family atmosphere and so I also agreed to help with the Mother and Toddler group, organising outings and meeting at Tots each week for coffee and a get together.

When my Maternity leave ended I returned to my job in customer services. I soon realised it was time for a change and so in August 2000 (after 13 years) I handed in my notice and enrolled on a course for a Teaching Assistant, studying and working in the reception class at Lydden Primary School and attending college in Folkestone.

I thoroughly enjoyed my year in the reception class and decided I would like to study for my Early Years education qualification and so I was really pleased to be offered a position at Tots and a year later I completed my NVQ!

Well, seven years has certainly gone very quickly and I’m sure the next seven will too! I am still really enjoying working here and my children still feel quite at home spending time here in the holidays and sometimes the after school club.

Every day at Tots brings something new, and the children, staff and parents all make working here fun and so I look forward to meeting lots more lovely people in the years to come!
