I’m originally from London, but moved to Kent in 1980. I got involved with Tots 2 Teens (then called Lydden under fives), in 1984 when I brought my children to the toddler group. (Little did I know I would still be here a quarter of a century later!). When my daughter started nursery I helped out at some of the sessions. I then became a committee member and later joined the nursery as an official paid member of staff in September 1989.
My two children attended Tots 2 Teens and still come back to visit (even though they are now in their twenties!). My niece and nephew attend the out of school club almost every day and it’s a real home from home for them. My two grandchildren are booked to start in the Teenie Tots baby room when they are a year old.
I don’t get very much spare time as Tots keeps me very busy, but when I do have a spare moment I enjoy spending time with my family, caring for my pets (I have six cats and a chinchilla!), going for walks, furnishing my dolls house, going to the cinema or watching old British comedies on the TV.
I feel we are like one big happy family at Tots 2 Teens and that we have good relationships with the children and their families.
