Hello,

I have two children, both boys (which can be interesting at times)!!! I have lived in Dover since I was 18 (10 years ago!!) and studied Childcare at Canterbury college. I then went on to do my Advanced Diploma in Childcare and Education.

I started work at Tots 2 Teens just over six years ago and started off working just 10 hours a week from 12-2, this soon changed and now I work full time in the setting.

Both my children attended Tots 2 Teens and my youngest was 18 months old when he started. They both now enjoy the facilities the after school club has to offer. They spend more time at Tots than they do at home so they have a great relationship with all the staff and management committee. When I am not at work I often have a house full of children and I love every minute of it!!!

I have many pets….2 cats, a rabbit, 2 fish and 2 bearded dragons, oh, and a giant African land snail called Lesley, which have on many occasions all, except for the fish, visited Tots 2 Teens!! I am hoping to get some Guinea Pigs soon but ssssssshhhhhhhh!!! It’s a secret!!!

I have always wanted to work with children and love my job!!!! I love to watch the children learn new things and develop emotionally, it’s amazing!! I have built some wonderful relationships with staff, parents and children alike.

I think the parents at Tots would probably describe me as the loud, smiley, over-excitable one with a scrabble obsession who is always singing!!! This description is probably more accurate than I want to admit!!!
